“31 Days…” Day 15: Jack & Jill’s Hill

15 Oct

“Crop Top Jack and Hula Jill went up the hill

To fetch a pail of invisible water.

Crop Top Jack fell down and broke his plastic arm,

And Jill came tumbling after.”

Day 15: Jack & Jill’s Hill

My remix might not the best nursery rhyme ever…..but……that’s my costume today: Jack & Jill’s Hill.

I haven’t really been purchasing items for my “31 Days of Halloween” challenge because I have alot of closets of my own, friends’, family members’, etc to sift through for costumes.  However, this hill poncho was created out of an avocado green felt tablecloth that caught my eye at the thrift store last week.  I spent a whole DOLLAR on this costume. Dang — breakin’ the bank with this one.

Jack & Jill’s Hill details: green makeup, hill headband, pail, falling Barbies, green poncho, flowers.

FYI (perhaps TMI):  Ken–I mean Crop Top Jack–kept flinging his leg out during his endless descent down the hill and kicking me in the junk.  I think this has been my least favorite costume so far, on account on the all-day junk-kicks.  But, the bucket was nice.  Since I didn’t have pockets, I could put my keys, sunglasses, phone, candy, etc in the bucket around my neck.  If that trend takes off, I’ll support it.  Neck buckets….fashionable AND functional!

HAHA. That’s awesome! But seriously, those happy people at the end of the commercial whose problems have all been solved by a neck basket? Yeah, that was totally me for an entire day.

i love to discuss. let's do this.
